Delete your account & data
You can delete your Renter Shield account and data at any time — directly in the app, or by request here. There's no penalty and no hoops.
Renter Shield is local-first. Most of your content (evidence, letters, notes, deadlines) is stored on your device, so deleting the app removes it. This page covers deleting any account and any data associated with it on our side.
Option 1 — Delete in the app (fastest)
- Open Renter Shield and go to Settings → Account.
- Tap Delete Account.
- Confirm. Your account and associated data are scheduled for deletion right away.
Option 2 — Request deletion here
No longer have the app installed? Request deletion below and we'll process it. Use the email tied to your account so we can verify the request.
✓ Request received. We'll confirm by email and complete deletion. If you don't hear back within a few days, email us directly.
Prefer email? Write to privacy@rentershield.app with the subject "Delete my account and data."
What gets deleted, and what may be kept

Deletion is permanent and can't be undone. If you have an active paid subscription, cancel it first in your App Store / Google Play settings (deleting the account does not automatically stop store billing).
